Since entering university, Yamato Inada has quietly harbored feelings for Hina Shabana. Mustering his courage, he finally confesses to her—but little does he know, that confession will open the door to a world beyond his imagination. Hina, as it turns out, is a yokai hunter—one who protects humans from supernatural creatures. Yamato is suddenly pulled into this dangerous realm, where attacks by death gods and yokai are part of everyday life. Along the way, they encounter others from this strange world, including the money-hungry yokai hunter Subaru Ikami and a fox shrine maiden. Thus begins the extraordinary adventure of Yamato and Hina.
